• All domestic flights at Lucknow airport to be operational from Terminal 3 now

  At present, Indigo Airlines, Air India, Vistara, Air India Express, Air Asia India, Fly Big and Star Air operate their domestic flights from Terminal 2 but from Sunday, April 21, they will shift their entire domestic operations to Terminal 3. The airport will be deploying Customer Service Associates and signages at strategic decision-making points near airport to guide domestic passengers towards T3, including at the Airport Metro station.

  

• Air India to fly its new A350 on Delhi-Dubai route from May 1

  Passengers traveling between Delhi and Dubai with Air India starting May 1, 2024, will have the opportunity to experience the luxurious A350 in its striking new livery. Operating as flight AI995/996, the aircraft will depart from Delhi daily at 20:45hrs, landing in Dubai at 22:45hrs. The return journey from Dubai will take off at 00:15hrs and reach Delhi at 04:55hrs the next day, all timings local.

  

• FLY91 expands network with Agatti and Jalgaon routes

  Commencing operations from April 18, 2024, FLY91 will operate four weekly flights from Goa to Agatti Island Airport and thrice-weekly flights between Goa, Jalgaon, and Hyderabad. The launch of these routes by FLY91 coincides with the domestic summer holiday season, offering travellers more options to explore diverse destinations within India.

  

• IndiGo enhances international connectivity with new flights between Abu Dhabi & Chandigarh

  This strategic addition to IndiGo’s route network aims to strengthen international connectivity by offering seamless and convenient travel options between the thriving capital city of the United Arab Emirates and the vibrant beauty of Chandigarh. Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, boasts a range of attractions including the iconic Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Ferrari World, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and Yas Island.

  

• FY2024 records 13% YoY growth in domestic passenger traffic, surpassing pre-Covid levels

  The airlines demonstrated increased capacity deployment in March 2024, registering a 2 per cent growth compared to March 2023 and a significant 9 per cent growth over February 2024. This heightened capacity utilization resulted in a passenger load factor (PLF) of approximately 90 per cent in March 2024, showcasing a steady recovery compared to March 2023 and February 2024.

  

• Akasa Air expands network to Prayagraj as the heritage city becomes its 22nd destination

  The airline is set to commence daily flights between Mumbai and Prayagraj from May 25, 2024, enhancing connectivity and accessibility between these key cities. This development reinforces Akasa Air's commitment to strengthening its presence in North India, with Prayagraj being the fourth city in Uttar Pradesh to join its network.

  

• Air India expands Southeast Asia reach with New Delhi-Ho Chi Minh City route

• Air India & Bengaluru airport sign MoU to develop domestic lounge & MRO facilities

  This collaboration between Air India, Tata Group airlines (AIX and Vistara), and BIAL is set to revolutionise the aviation landscape over the next five years. The key components of this strategic partnership include bolstering international connectivity, optimizing operational efficiency, and elevating the passenger experience at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (KIAB or BLR airport).

  

• SpiceJet launches direct flights between Hyderabad & Ayodhya, resumes operations from Pakyong

  The airline has also recommenced services to Pakyong in Sikkim from both Delhi and Kolkata, effective March 31, 2024. The Delhi-Pakyong route will be available five days a week, while the Kolkata-Pakyong flight will operate daily. The Hyderabad-Ayodhya route will have flights three times a week. To serve these routes effectively, SpiceJet will utilize a mix of Boeing 737 and Q400 aircraft.
