The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) recently concluded an impactful series of roadshows in Bengaluru and Mumbai on April 23 and 25, 2024, showcasing Korea's leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) potential to Indian audiences.

These events brought together a prestigious delegation comprising the Busan Tourism Organization (BTO) and 10 esteemed Korean Destination Management Companies (DMCs). The evenings were enriched with a unique cultural flair, featuring the dynamic culinary performance team, CHEF, flown in from Korea, who mesmeriaed audiences with a blend of beatboxing, B-boying, and live cooking battles.

The roadshows were graced by esteemed dignitaries from India Tourism (Ministry of Tourism, Government of India), MTDC, IRCTC senior officers, and heads of leading travel associations, along with a high-level delegation from the KTO headquarters, showcasing the organisation's strong commitment to the Indian travel market.

Leading the KTO HQ delegation was Chang Wook Jung, Executive Director, MICE, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO). Expressing his delight, Jung said, "The enthusiastic response at our recent roadshows in Bengaluru and Mumbai was truly inspiring. The interactions between Indian travel professionals and our Korean delegation were highly productive, fostering strong partnerships within the MICE sector and the broader Indian travel industry. We are excited about achieving our ambitious target of attracting 20,000 MICE delegates from India in 2024."

With a goal of welcoming 200,000 Indian travelers this year, the roadshows were a resounding success. By showcasing Korea's diverse experiences, from cultural performances to leisure and MICE opportunities, we are confident in achieving this ambitious target."

The roadshows culminated in unforgettable Korea Nights. Bengaluru's Korea Night 2024 transformed into a vibrant celebration, offering exciting networking opportunities alongside captivating dance performances and interactive Korean cuisine displays. Mumbai's MICE Roadshow facilitated strategic partnerships within the MICE sector, culminating in the grand Korea MICE Night 2024, solidifying the strong ties between the Indian and Korean travel industries.
